Texting and Chatting from the Web Client

The Web Client allows you to log in to your extension from any computer that has an internet connection.

Once logged in, you get a fully functioning Extension with ALL of the capabilities of the phone system.

Preparation

Call our Help Desk Team at 770-929-1155 Option 1 or send a Support Ticket to support@selectivesolutions.com

Ask a Team Member to set you up with your own Company Text Messaging number.

Ask a Team Member to send you a Welcome Email.

Welcome Email

Your Welcome email will contain your URL for logging into the Web Client and also your password to log in.

Conversations.

Click the Chat Icon on the menu on the left.

All Chats and Text messages will be displayed.

Clicking a message will open the conversation on the right side and will allow you to reply by entering your response in the field at the bottom of the screen.

Sending a Chat message.

A Chat is an internal message between you and a Team Member at a different extension.

Select Chat from the menu on the left.

Click the + sign at the top left.

Select Chat.

Select a Team Member for the Chat.

Type your message in the field at the very bottom of the screen and click the Send Icon.

Your conversation will appear on the right hand side of the screen.

Sending a Group Chat Message.

Click the Chat Icon on the Menu.

Click the + sign at top left.

Click Create Group Chat.

Select Members you want to be part of the Group Chat.

At the far right of the field showing the selected members, click Next.

Give the Group a Name that will show up in the Chats.

Click Next.

Type your message in the field at the bottom of the screen.

Click the Send Icon.

Sending a Text Message.

Click the Chat Icon on the menu on the left.

Click the + sign at the top left.

Click Send SMS.

Enter the number you want to send the text to.

NOTE: FCC regulations require numbers to be in E164 format. That means all numbers in the US must start with +1. To text 213-456-7890 enter the number as +12134567890

On the right click Start Chat.

If you have texted this number before, then all previous conversation will be displayed.

Start a new conversation or add to an existing one by typing your message in the field at the bottom of the screen.

Click the Send Icon.

Attachments

Use the Paper Clip Icon to add attachments to Chats, Group Chats and Text Messages.
